FAQs
Why am I unable to see the booking timings for tomorrow?
The booking schedule has been set so that bookings must be made 18-24 hours in advance to each booking slot. This helps our service providers plan their days efficiently.
However, your service provider will still be able to book you in during the 18-24 hours period. Kindly reach out to them individually and they will advise you further.
How do I cancel my appointment?
There will be a ‘Cancel Appointment’ button at the bottom of your appointment email confirmation. This link is active until 24 hours prior to your session timing.
Last minute cancellations are only done through your service provider upon establishing contact with them with a valid reason presented, subject to the discretion of your service provider on a case-by-case basis.
Last minute cancellation charges apply for clients who do not have a valid reason to be absent for their session. The charge is the full cost of the session booked i.e. client did not turn up for sports massage session ($130) therefore cancellation fee is $130.
What’s the difference between sports massage and physiotherapy?
Physiotherapists use many different methods to achieve pain relief and improve human performance. Massage is one of such methods that we employ within our session.
Sports massage differs from other conventional massages we have outside a rehabilitation setting as it is targeted towards assisting with joint pain and injury. Sports massage at Physiotherabeat is delivered as a prescriptive method where our therapists choose specific massage techniques and apply them to specific areas of the body.
Our Sports Massage service is a dedicated session delivered for soft tissue (muscle, fascia, tendon) manipulation and may include passive stretching.
Why must I see the Physiotherapist before starting hydrotherapy?
Hydrotherapy is delivered in a higher risk environment (pools) and greater caution needs to be exercised to ensure that our clients’ safety are ensured.
As such, a strict and thorough assessment process is needed to verify that our clients participating in hydrotherapy are suitable for this service. The assessment will also decide the number of sessions each client needs to attend per hydrotherapy program to be enrolled into.
If you’re ready to start doing hydrotherapy and would like to know what to expect after enrolment, kindly read this blog post.
Is hydrotherapy better for me?
Hydrotherapy is a specialized form of physiotherapy catering those who struggle with land-based rehab. It can be used as performance training, early rehabilitation and disability management. We have also had much success with chronic disease management such as those who suffer from osteoarthritis, stroke, neuromuscular dystrophy, dementia, etc.
Hydrotherapy can help anyone - from the weakest to the strongest people, it all depends on what your goals are.
If this is a new concept to you, feel free to learn more about it from our blog article here or our Instagram and Facebook pages (@hydrotherapysingapore).

How should I be dressed for an appointment?
Kindly be in comfortable clothes that do not restrict full range of movement or exposure to the area needed to be treated and assessed.
If you are unsure, be assured that we have cleanly laundered clothes of various sizes catered for clients use in case their attire is inappropriate for the session.
What type of sessions can I make claims for?
Most physiotherapy and hydrotherapy sessions can be claimed for under personal accident or post-hospitalization insurance policies. Some policies may also cover sports massage or personal training. Kindly check with your insurance agent before attempting to make any claims first.
Should you be claiming from a corporate insurance policy or employee benefits scheme, kindly check with your corporate insurance company or Human Resource Department personnel prior to commencing sessions with us, as coverage is unique to each individual plan/scheme.
For most claims, a doctor referral stating the area of injury to be treated by the physiotherapist should be obtained on the same day or before the day of your first physiotherapy session.
